Are we aware of this danger? Are we making this same mistake?Good news! Paul not only warns us, but teaches us how to make this right in our lives.

Missionary Edgar Feghaly (Middle East)
Take a listen to this Missions Update from Missionary Edgar Feghaly. Dr. Edgar Feghaly will share how God opened the Middle East before him.
Dr. Edgar Feghaly was saved in 1956 in Beirut, Lebanon, after hearing the Gospel through the efforts of American missionaries. He immediately began serving the Lord as a young person and was called to preach as a young adult. After a brief time in the United States for training, Dr. Feghaly returned to Lebanon with his wife Rosann, where they served the Lord throughout the Lebanese War.
As doors have opened across the Middle East and West Africa, the Lord has used Dr. Feghaly to plant churches in these Muslim regions. The Feghalys continue to train and labor alongside national pastors throughout the 10/40 window and are seeing the Lord work through their ministry in miraculous ways.

Pastor Tony Liuzzo (Lead Pastor) - Genesis 22 (Genesis 22:1-19; James 2:20-26; Hebrews 11:1-2 & 17-19; Joshua 3:15-16)
In Genesis 22, we learn another name of God that comes from a complicated situation. Abraham is instructed to do something that would take a huge step of faith.
It is easy to say that we have faith in God, but God calls us to take action steps of faith. Faith is more than words, it is acting out our trust in God. When we do, we will discover that God is Jehovah Jireh! God has already gone before us to provide! He will never let us down!
Bible study description:
Knowing someone's name is the very start of getting to know someone. It is what we use to call out to someone to get their attention. It is how we identify someone.
Our God has many names. Each name of God reveals to us His character, His nature, and His attributes. Knowing His names brings us into a deeper relationship with Him because it allows us to know Him on a deeper level.
When we know His names, we can then call out to Him using His names. There is a reason that our God has so many names...there is power in the name of our God! Do you know our God by His names?

The names of God that we have studied so far speak and explain the greatness of God. The next name of God describes our reaction to His greatness. It is more than acknowledging that we serve a great God, it is responding with submission to His authority and power.
We will go back to Genesis to discover the significance to the name, Adonai!

Something that the world craves to have is peace. We desire to have that inward rest in our hearts. Paul explains to the church in I Corinthians why they were missing peace in their lives. They lived in a "do what you want" / "do what feels good" society and this mindset and lifestyle was creeping into the lives of God's people. This robs us of peace because it goes against God's way and God's plans. We will hit on some deep rooted spiritual issues that have overcome our world today. If you are looking for peace and true joy, then we have to confront some things that are robbing blind of God's blessings.

Do you ever get frustrated with the way people drive? It can be frustrating when people don't use their turning signals or they run a stop sign. Why does this bother us? Because when people do what feels right to them rather than what is right, bad things happen and people get hurt. This is what was happening in the city of Corinth. The church began to do what was popular rather than doing what is right. Paul speaks into this church about an important subject and he explains how we are different. We are different because we stand on absolute truth!
DIFFERENT: Because normal isn't working! We stand on absolute truth!
This is how we are different:I. We stand on God's Word as absolute truthA. it is our final authorityB. it holds the powersC. it gives understanding
II. We prioritize the truth
III. We all preach the truth
